HL Global (AVX), 7 Aug The board said recurring profits have not been sufficient to support dividends, and the market is pricing exactly that.

JustCo (JCO), 10 Aug The SEA organic business is improving, but the reported profit was an accounting gain and the revenue growth came from a consolidation rather than new business.

Jollibee (JFC), 11 Aug Record headline profit, but overseas earnings went backwards, net debt rose ₱12 billion, and the Wall Street re-rating thesis is quieter, not louder. Since publication: Jollibee has confirmed Hong Kong over the US as the venue for its international unit listing.

Foundation Healthcare (FHH), 17 Aug The reported profit was distorted by a pre-IPO swap structure that ended on 1 July, the day after the first-half closed; the number that matters, core margin, moved down.

Sheng Siong (OV8), 20 Aug The 31.8% gross margin confirms the quality thesis, but the S$520 million Sungei Kadut build now governs the stock.

UltraGreen.ai (ULG), 20 Aug Two US approvals have appeared — Zydus in August, Provepharm in July; the moat is real, and how far competition erodes it is the open question.

Haw Par (H02), 21 Aug Strip out last year's anniversary special dividends and the income stream is intact; at S$15.06, the market caps the company below its UOB and UOL stakes alone.

HRnetGroup (CHZ), 24 Aug Singapore posted its first gross-profit rise in three years, and management for the first time framed the company around unlocking value for minority shareholders — the language has moved; the action has not.

PropNex (OYY), 26 Aug The thesis held through the launch drought with market share rising in every segment, but profit fell 3.1% on flat revenue and that margin compression is worth watching into the second half.

Hafary Holdings (5VS), 30 Aug Singapore held, but the Kluang plant lost more money on less revenue — the thesis has one more half to show that the miss was timing, not structure.

Tiong Woon (BQM), 1 Sep Revenue and profit both hit records for the full year; the stock still trades at half its book value.

A Coverage Status System

Every company we cover carries a thesis.

But theses age at different rates — some are live and moving, others are valid but waiting, and a few have run their course. Treating all of them the same way would mean updating when there is nothing new to say, and going quiet when something is actually happening.

Active Coverage means the thesis is live and we are tracking it. Expect updates when material developments occur.

Catalyst Watch means the thesis is valid but the trigger is indefinite. The company is not a value trap — there is no structural reason the discount never closes — but there is no near-term catalyst and no management action expected. We will not send regular updates on Catalyst Watch names, but we will revisit when the facts move.

Stop means the thesis has closed — either because the discount is structural with no credible path to close, or because the investment case now depends on a factor that is unlikely to materialise.

Going forward, every company in our coverage carries one of these statuses. The full list, all nineteen names with status and rationale, is in our coverage map.

What We Are Working On

Over the next three to six months, three areas are where we will be watching most closely and where most of our new initiations will come from.

Alongside these, we will continue reviewing IPOs as they come to market across the region. And where we find a company or angle that the market has significantly overlooked, outside of any planned sector, we will write about it.
